Yu Yureka S with 5.2-inch full HD display listed for Rs 12,999




YU Televentures, a subsidiary of Micromax, has announced Yu Yureka S smartphone in India. The smartphone is listed on the company’s website for Rs 12,999. Yu Yureka S features a 5.2-inch full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels) with a pixel density of 423 ppi. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone has a metal and polycarbonate chassis. It weighs 172 gms.
Yu Yureka S is powered by 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and Adreno 405 GPU. There’s 3GB RAM on-board coupled with 16GB internal memory. The smartphone comes equipped with Wolfson Pure Sound and Yamaha Amplifier for enhanced sound quality. Yu Yureka S features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and HDR support. The front camera is 5MP with 84 degree wide-angle lens and f/2.2 aperture. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with company’s AROUND YU OS. Users can simply order food, shop etc with a right swipe from the home screen, without having to download multiple apps.
Yu Yureka S is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery which offers a standby time of up to 450 hours and talktime of up to 9 hours. The device supports QuickCharge 1.0 technology. This is a dual SIM smartphone that comes with hybrid SIM slot. Yu Yureka S supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, micro USB port and USB OTG. The dimensions of the smartphhone are 154.8 x 78 x 8.5 mm. Sensors on Yureka S include G-Sensor, L-Sensor, 6-axis Gyroscope and P-Sensor. Yu Yureka S is available in black colour variant. The smartphone is not up for sale yet but based on the listing, we could expect it to be available soon.
